Set up WhatsApp to send automatic notifications to customers
Why Connect WhatsApp?
WhatsApp integration lets you send automatic order confirmations, delivery updates, and completion messages to customers — without manual effort.
Navigate to WhatsApp AI Assistant Settings
In the left sidebar, click **Settings** to expand the menu, then click **WhatsApp AI Assistant**.
Open the Setup Guide
Scroll to the **Setup Guide** section. You will need a Meta Developer account and a WhatsApp Business phone number before continuing.
Create a Meta Developer App
Follow the setup steps to create your Meta app.
- aGo to developers.facebook.com and create a new app
- bAdd the WhatsApp Business product to the app
- cAdd and verify your business phone number
Configure the Webhook
Copy the Webhook URL and Verify Token from the NovatraCloud settings page and paste them into your Meta app's webhook configuration.
Create a System User Token
In Meta Business Suite, create a permanent System User Token with the required WhatsApp permissions and paste it into the NovatraCloud settings.
Enter Your Phone Number ID
Copy the Phone Number ID from your Meta app and paste it into the NovatraCloud settings, then click **Save**.
WhatsApp Connected!
Your customers will now receive automatic WhatsApp notifications for every order update.
